VilaWeb launches a new project on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the newspaper: the publication of a collection of journalistic books.
Each year we will publish four books, one per quarter, with in-depth investigations conducted by the newspaper’s editorial staff or related content. It is a new window that will allow for deep analysis of the reality of the Catalan Countries, at a time when the rush of information overlooks in-depth analysis.
The 2025 collection consists of the following books:
1 Tres dies d’Agost by Josep Nualart Casulleras
The most accurate and precise account of the events of August 8, 2024, and how President Puigdemont’s entry and exit operation was planned and executed.
It will be published in May.
2 Els morts de Mazón by Esperança Camps
The narration of all the events of October 29, during the flash floods in Valencia. With special attention to what happened with the more than two hundred people who died and what President Mazón did.
It will be published in June.
3 Contra el silenci i la impunitat by Xavier Montanyà
In the year that Spanish authorities want to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of Franco’s death, it is a good time to review the legacies of Francoism that still weigh on daily life.
It will be published in September.
4 Entendre els mapes by Vicent Partal
Based on the experience of La Pissarreta, Partal explains how to read maps and how to better understand the reality of the world and the country through cartography.
It will be published in December.
The book collection can be acquired preferentially by subscription, for a price of 68 euros per year. Those who are already subscribers to the newspaper will have a special subscription price for the complete annual collection of 64 euros per year. In both cases, the delivery of books to your home will be free of charge.
