Carme Fenoll is the Catalan Government’s Head of Library Services. While she started out in small libraries, mostly on the Costa Brava, she is now in charge of Catalonia’s 370-strong library system, that serves 25 million visitors and loans 15 million items.
Fenoll has promoted numerous innovative projects, including #BibliotequesambDO which links up wine culture, local authors, and local wine, and Wiki loves @bibliotequesCAT which teaches local librarians not only how to write their own Wikipedia entries but how to train patrons to use the collaborative technology.
