On 26th November, the animated film 'The Incredibles' will be out at cinemas all over the country. It is a story about a family of superheroes, made with the most advanced digital technology.
'The Incredibles' has had rave reviews from film critics and has broken box office records. In the United States, for example, in the weekend it opened alone, it broke all Disney box office records hitherto held by 'Finding Nemo'. The film has been created by Pixar Animation Studios, which had already collaborated with Disney on previous films, some of them big box-office hits such as 'Toy Story', 'Monsters, Inc' and 'Finding Nemo'. 'The Incredibles' is directed by Brad Bird, who also made 'The Iron Giant' and who is one of the creators of the successful animated television series 'The Simpsons'.

The main characters in 'The Incredibles' are Bob Parr and his family. Parr works for an insurance company and leads a quiet life, very different to the one he led fifteen or so years before, when he was busy saving mankind from the onslaughts of the forces of evil, earning himself the well-deserved nickname of Mr. Incredible. But our hero cannot quite get used to the daily grind, and he once again gets the chance to wake up and relive his heroic past, although with a few extra pounds around his middle.

Bob Parr is married to Helen who, like her husband, used to be a superheroine working under the name of Elastigirl and endowed with amazing flexibility. Bob and Helen have three children: Violet, who has the gift of making herself invisible; Dash, who is extremely fast, and Jack Jack the baby. Then there's Frozone, Bob's best friend, who can turn anything to ice, and Edna Mode, a fashion designer with exquisite taste.

'The Incredibles' is the first animated film created by Pixar in which the characters are human, although endowed with superhuman powers. One thousand eight hundred computers were used to bring them to life, almost one hundred and fifty articles of clothing were designed and around a hundred different sets were created. All this has given the characters great verisimilitude, both in their movements and physical appearance.
